Golden Lane to reopen in June

After more than a year of intense construction work, Prague Castle's celebrated row of homes will reopne in time for the summer season.

In addition to the necessary renovation work, another change is coming to the Golden Lane. Whereas previously they had all housed shops selling tourist mementos and other items, some of the houses will now host exhibitions, starting with an exhibit on the history of Prague.

The Golden Lane, popular with Prague residents and visitors alike, will reopen on June 1. After having carried out archaeological excavations, renovating street drainage, fixing the facades of the little colourful houses, and relaying all the paving tones, the lane will again be a glowing attraction at Prague Castle.
